There is a marked difference between the Western conception of prostitution, and the open-ended prostitution in Pattaya.
In western countries prostitution is an occupation. In Thailand, the girls don't usually talk about the price at first. They would try to establish some kind of relationship first. The Thai girls are prepared to extend their relationship for a number of days or weeks or even years. Sometimes the customer ends up spending the entire vacation with one girl and sometimes he comes back. Sometimes she becomes his mistress or even his wife. Her stay with the man is usually conditioned upon his readiness to support her or to take care of her financially. What starts out as a money-orientated transactional arrangement becomes a mixed involvement, a more complicated relationship. In extreme cases it becomes even possible that the attachment comes from pure emotion. It somehow gradually detaches itself from the material aspects or the money. And in prolonged cases, open-ended prostitution can be characterized as an ambiguous compliment of love and money.

Chilli containes Capsaicin. Capsaicin not only produces a burning sensation in the mouth, it is giving the body a natural high that is vital to lovemaking. Capsaicin is one of the oldest and most widely used herbs in the world. It has been estimated that approximately 25% of the world's population use capsaicin on a daily basis. The burning and painful sensations associated with capsaicin result from capsaicin's chemical interaction with sensory neurons. An euphoric sensation caused by the consumption of large quantities of capsaicin from capsaicin-laden foods. It's theorized that the pain induced by capsaicin causes the human body to release endorphins. Eventually, enough are released to create a sensation that is frequently compared to 'runner's high'. Capsaicin is insoluble in cold water, but freely soluble in alcohol and vegetable oils. This is why drinking water after munching a chilli pepper won't stop the burning. For relief from a chile burn, drink milk. People that eat lots of spicy capsaicin-rich foods build up a tolerance to it. The incentive: a small jolt of capsaicin excites the nervous system into producing endorphins, which promote a pleasant sense of well-being.

The Walking Street is the center of Pattaya's nightlife, with hundreds of bars, Go-Go clubs and dancings. Other areas are in Soi 7, Soi 8 and Soi Yamoto, in Soi Praisanie (around the post office), along Pattaya's 2nd Road and in Soi Buokhaow. A new growing area is at the 3rd Pattaya Road, from North Pattaya Road to the South Pattaya Road as well as in Soi Chayaphoon and Soi Lengkee, both between Soi Buokaow and the 3rd Road. Soi LK Metro is a new street, connects Soi Buokhaow with Soi Diana Inn and has A-Go-Go clubs, bars, a few restaurants and guesthouses. Another large Beer Bar area is located in Soi 2, across BigC's Shopping Center. During the last few years this place got extended. It covers now the whole area between the famous Soi 6 and the Dolphin Roundabout. Pattaya Naklua has a large area with bars too. It starts at the North Pattaya Road. Bars and Clubs in Jomtien are mainly in the area around the Thappraya Road, on Jomtien Soi 3 and Jomtien Soi 5. Beer Bars in Pattaya are mostly open air girlie bars (or Bar Beer, as the Thai's call them). Some of the beer bars have life music. Beer bars not only serve beer, you can order anything from Cola to Whisky. Many girls in this bars talk some english and like to play games (domino or 4-in-a-row). When you 'pick-up' a girl from a beer bar you have to pay a bar fine (usualy between 200 and 300 Baht). Another 500 to 1000 Baht you have to pay to the girl.

A Go-Go Bars don't have a cover charge, but the drinks are more expensive than at a beer bar. Avoid clubs with entrance fees! Most A Go-Go bars are more or less of the same construction: A central stage surrounded by a bar or some seats with small tables. The walls are decorated mostly with mirrors, giving the girls a chance to watch themself. Some Go-Go bars offer some kind of sexy shows as well. All Go-Go bars use extensive sound and light equipments. The girls dancing on the stage wear numbers. If you like one, tell the Mamasan (the head of the girls) your number of preference. She will guide the girl of your choice to your seat. The bar fine in a Go-Go club is 500 to 1000 Baht. Add another 1000 to 3000 Baht for the girl.

Pattaya has many Dancingfloors too! A lot of Freelancers are working at Dancings. If you like one of the ladies, smile to her. If she likes you too, she will approch you.
