Pattaya Police, Tourist Police and Immigration Police, they all want that you have a long and healthy sleep to be fit for daytime activities. Therefore they order all bars and dancings within the entertainment districts to close down the lights and the music at 02:00. In other parts of Pattaya bars have to close down at 24:00 or at 01:00. Usually the bars shut down the lights and the music at 02:00 but serve their customers until the morning hours.
A loophole in the law seems to make it possible. Disco Clubs close at about 03:00 - unless the police enforce the law... Another loophole in the law allows discos(or any other venue) to stay open after 03:00. The law regulates the closing time only, but not the opening time. Marine Disco 2 at Soi Marine Plaza opens its door just after 03:00! That's Pattaya!
